Influence of Pre-austenitizing Temperature on Mechanical Property and Microstructure of TRIP Steel with Annealing Martensite
This paper investigates the influence of austenitization temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of a TRIP steel (TAM steel) containing annealed martensite. The steel was produced using a three-stage heat treatment,i.e.austenitization,intercritical annealing and isothermal bainitic transformation. The mechanical properties were determined using a tensile test machine, showing that, the TRIP steels with annealed martensite have excellent elongation as well as strength and elongation balance, especially when the austenitization temperature is 950℃,the elongation of the steel is over 40%,and the strength and elongation balance is over 27 GPa·%.The microstructure was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM),transmission electron microscope (TEM),showing that the steels consist of ferrite, banite, retained austenite and annealed martensite. The austenitization temperature has strong influence on the fraction of annealed martensite and grain size of the ferrite.
