Effect of Quenching Temperature on Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of 60Si2CrVA Spring Steel by Q&P
By using MTS,scanning electron microscope,metallographic microscope and other experimental apparatus,60Si2CrVA spring steel mechanical properties and the microstructure is studied in water quenching temperature of 60~100℃ by Q&P process.Research has shown that with the decrease of quenching temperature of the water,the strength of the material increases,the toughness decrease.Microstructure analysis results show that the microstructure of the materials is the martensite + retained austenite+lower bainite+ carbide.When the water quench temperature above 80℃,the tempered martensite content is 50%,the lower bainite content is 42%,the retained austenite content is about 8%:when the water quench temperature below 70℃,the tempered martensite content is about 90%,the retained austenite content is 6%,the lower bainite content is 4%.We find that when the water quenching temperature is high,lower bainite size is larger,the water quenching temperature is lower,the lower bainite size is smaller.Combined with different water quenching temperature on the mechanical properties,when water quenching temperature in 60~70℃,60Si2CrVA plenty of tempered martensite is in the lead to improve strength of materials,when water quenching temperature during 80~100℃,60Si2CrVA lower bainite and retained austenite is in the lead to the ductility increase.
