The Experimental Investigation on Millipede Forming U-Profiled AHSS Products
In this paper,the longitudinal residual strain and springback angle were investigated on Millipede forming AHSS products.NI9237 USB data acquisition equipment was used to measure the longitudinal strains on the flange.Universal bevel protractor was used to measure the springback angle.The results showed that the U-Profiled AHSS products were straight.There were no typical defects such as longitudinal bend,edge wave and twisting even within such a short forming distance of 300mm.For the channel section,there was no end-flare at both ends.The longitudinal strain was positive correction with the increasing speed of bending angle.The longitudinal redundant strains on the flange and springback angle were in the safe range,which proved the superiority of Millipede forming.
