The Lightweight of Commercial Vehicle and the Application of High Strength Steel
Reducing the curb mass of commercial vehicles can save energy and reduce emission,whats more,it can enhance the profits for logistics companies by reducing highway roll and reducing fuel consumption.So logistics company require lightweight trucks,which could be developed by Nb-bearing high strength steel,combining with structure optimization and advanced manufacture technologies.This paper introduced the microstructure and properties of Nb-bearing high strength steel,welding technique and structure design,and shown the lightweight results.The weight could be reduced by 1.5 tons,0.1 tons,0.25 tons and 0.2 tons by lightweight trailers,lightweight wheels and lightweight cab,lightweight frame,and lightweight spring respectively.In a word,the development and application of series Nb-bearing high strength steel is an effective lightweight means of commercial vehicles.
