Research on LCA in Multimaterials for Vehicle Body

摘要：

　　In lightweight designs,weight reduction by using multi-materials will reduce CO2 emission and increase fuel economy,which will significantly reduce environmental impact.Owing to the importance of reducing CO2 emission,more and more carmakers are using multimaterials method for vehicle body.Based on detailed analysis of lightweight multi-materials from point of view of whole life cycle assessment,this paper has shown that the use of high strength steel offers an enormous lightweight potential in comparison to other materials such as aluminum,carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) etc.
