Application of Anti-Oxidation Inorganic Nano-coating on Reheating Slabs with High Temperature

  The application of a new kind anti-oxidation inorganic nano-coating on reheating slabs with high temperature is introduced.The composition of this kind of coating includes magnesite mineral,metallurgic dust and silicate adhesive as the main raw materials with character of both low cost and environment-friendly.The nano-coating could be sprayed directly onto the surface of slabs.During long reheating and soaking,the coating powder fuses and forms compact and gasproof liquid adhesion layer on the surface to inhibit the surface from being oxidated and decrease the loss of weight because of oxidation.For the carbon or low carbon micro-alloyed steel,the loss was decreased by about 50% or more with the reheating time of 3~5h and temperature of 1200~1300℃.Besides the special properties of anti-oxidation,the coating can make the original scale break off easily which result in good effect on rough descaling.So it can improve the surface quality and output of steel with this new kind of nano-coating.
