The EVI Based on Niobium Lightweight Solutions and Forward Materials Selection Methodology
Introduction Early Vendor Involvement is an importance methodology to improve the advanced materials to carmakers,however,EVI must be based on the solutions and VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering),so in this paper,authors present a Niobium Lightweight Solutions (short for NLS) to solve the application issues of advanced steel materials together with carmakers and part-makers.And firstly,NLS is on account of constrains including technical constrains and policy constrains,and other constrains,and NLS must guarantee to overcome these bottlenecks.Secondly,an acceptable NLS should be verified by value chain analysis (short for VCA),that means the partner of whole industry chain should get enough benefits from this NLS,including upstream and downstream.Thirdly,NLS should not only include all the solutions,but also include fundamental supports to carmakers and part-makers.Fourthly,NLS focuses on the lightweight engineering,so its a combination technology of lightweight design,structure optimization,the development and optimization of steel,and development and optimization of manufacturing process.Finally,each NLS should be based on the Niobium microalloying technology (short for NMT).
