Construction and Application of Risk Index for Urban Safety Production --Case Study in a Northern City in China

  Construction risk index of urban safety production evaluation system has an important role on assessing the urban safety situation scientifically.Considering the existing risks, the vulnerability of disaster-affected objects and the urban safety supervision capacity, an evaluation indicator system comprising 45 underlying indicators was established in this paper.An AHP model for calculating the risk index of urban safety production was constructed based on AHP method and applied with the data from fourteen districts of a northern city in China.The calculation results showed big gaps between risk indexes of safety production in different districts, and individual district had severe safety production situation.The research shows that this method can be used to calculate the risk index of the urban safety production.High level of safety supervision and inspection plays a significant role in improving urban safety production status.
