Safety Analysis of Lithium-ion Battery Based on Fault Tree Method
As lithium-ion batteries are widely adopted in portable equipment, electric vehicles and stationary storage systems, the number of lithium-ion battery uses is increasing exponentially every year.But, with high energy density material and flammable electrolyte, the number of possible catastrophic events, like fire or explosion, caused by lithium-ion batteries thermal runaway is also increasing every year.Always, safety problem obstacles the larger scale commercialization of lithium-ion battery.
