Validating the Current Fire Resistance Test for Over-sized Rolling Fire Shutter Door

　　The specimen size in rolling fire shutter door test in ISO 3008 or other similar tests is generally 3×3 or 4×4 m2, and the rolling fire shutter door used in practical design is usually larger than 4×4 m2.In Taiwan the test results from the 3×3 or 4×4 m2tests can be applied to those products whose area is less than 32 m2and with height up to 4 m.However, there still exists a need to use over-sized rolling fire shutter doors in some designs such as doorways in large atrium, stadiums, museums, opera houses.Underwriter Laboratory (UL) allows the test results from the 3×3 or 4×4 m2 specimens to be applied to rolling fire shutter doors with area up to 96 m2 and height up to 8 m, while some other associated tests are accompanied.
