Numerical Simulation on Structure Effects of Gas Explosions in Vessels
In this paper, to investigate the influence law of structures on gas explosions in vessels, the K-ε two-equation turbulent model, eddy-dissipation-concept (EDC) model, and the SIMPLE algorithm are considered in FLUENT.Numerical simulations are performed to study the effects on methane-air mixture explosions in spherical vessel and cylindrical vessel.Boundary conditions of the modeling consist of wall condition and internal conditions in vessels.Process of methane-air mixture explosion in vessels can be thought is a closed system, the setting of joint that vessel connected with pipeline is internal condition.
