Analysis of Arc Discharge Characteristics of Low-voltage AC Faul Arc
In order to study the discharge characteristics of the low-voltage AC fault arc under different contact conditions, the intrinsically safe type experimental device is chosen as the arc generation device, and the test circuit is designed.The following conclusion can be obtained by processing the discharge waveform of the low-voltage AC arc.The discharge waveform of the fault arc at 220 V fixed current is analyzed, It can be concluded that the fault arc is similar to the altemating current as the sine wave;In the course of disconnection type fault arc discharge, the resistance of the arc increases slowly, and then increases rapidly at the end of the arc discharge.At roughly the same time of discharge, the arc energy decreases with increasing the velocity of separation.In addition, under 220 V voltage, although he electrode separation speed is not the same, there is a peak value of power variation in each arc, and In the 220V low voltage AC circuit, the electrode separation speed is different, the arc discharge time is different, the time to reach the maximum arc power is not the same.The time required to reach the maximum power in different arc is more than half of the total discharge time.By analyzing the characteristics of AC arc discharge can provide a theoretical basis for the design of short circuit protection device, and provide data support for further research.
