Application and Analysis of High-chrome Bricks in Petroleum Coke Slurry Gasifier
To pursue diversification of raw materials and consumption of other industrial by-products, domestic industry based on coal water slurry began to use petroleum coke as feedstock.But the properties of petcoke slurry is different from coal water slurry, the operate condition is also different, which have influence on high-chrome bricks.This paper described the preparation of newly developed high-chrome bricks and their application on gasifier using petcoke as feedstock, then the application of bricks was analyzed The results indicated that two kinds of new high-chrome bricks have superior properties.After serving for 2128h under 1450 ℃, both bricks were in good condition, which had no obvious structural spalling.Drill out core samples and the corrosion rate were 0.0171mm/h and 0.0007mm/h respectively, which showed good corrosion and erosion resistance.The core samples were analyzed using SEM and EDS,which showed dissolution of brick in brick-slag interface and spinel layer was formed in the presence of Fe2O3、 V2O5 、 MgO.The main compositions in slag CaO and SiO2 were almost infiltrated through the whole brick under EDS analysis, but the brick structure was intact.
