Phase Composition Evolution and Its Influence on Viscosity-temperature Characteristics of Gasification Slags
In the present paper, X-ray diffractometer,ICP-AES, slag melting property determinator,FactSage modelling were used to investigate chemical composition, phase composition, high-temperature phase evolution, fusibility and viscosity-temperature characteristics of five kinds of gasification slags. The results show that: (1) The main chemical composition of gasification slags are SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, Fe2O3 and residual carbon. The existence of carbon resulted from the short residence time of coal in the gasifier. Thus, the using of multi-opposed-burner which could prolong the residence time could decrease residual carbon content in the final gasification slag.(2) The viscosity of stag melt was increased with increasing ratio of acid to alkali in slag for the increasing fusion temperature.(3) CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 ternary phase diagrams drawn by Phase Diagram of FactSage are available to aid in the explanation of the high-temperature phase evolution of gasification slag. The viscosity-temperature characteristics are determined by chemical composition and high-temperature phase evolution of gasification slags.
