Effect of Graphite Addition on the Performance of Al203-SiC-C Bricks
This is a research of performance effective of graphite addition on Al2O3-SiC-C brick.The results show that: 1) if graphite addition increased from 6wt% to 18wt%, apparent porosity, bulk density and mechanical properties (at room temperature) of samples are all at a decreasing trend;hot modulus of rupture goes up at the beginning then decreases down,reaching its maximum when graphite addition is 9wt%;2) thermal shock resistance increases slightly with graphite addition increasing, 3) Erosion resistance reaches its maximum when addition of graphite is 9wt%;4) Oxidation resistance decreases with the increasing of graphite addition.
