Research on the Improvement of Refractoriness Under Load of Alumina Light-weight Insulation Material

  It has been put forward higher requirements to serve temperature of liner materials with the rapid development of high-temperature furnace industry.Because of its good thermal insulation properties and high serve temperature, alumina light-weight insulation material has become one of the best materials to optimize the structure and improve the serve temperature of furnace.Refractoriness under load is the direct reaction to resist high temperature performance of alumina light-weight insulation material, so it is of great signficance to study the influencing factors.In this paper, research is mainly focused on the influences of firing system (sintering temperature and holding time), expansion agent type (kyanite and sillimanite, andalusite) and the amount of ZrO2 for refractoriness under load of alumina light-weight insulation material which is prepared by foam-casting method.The results show that the refractoriness under load of alumina light-weight insulation material can reach 1550 ℃ under firing at 1620 ℃ and holding 5 hrs;The refractoriness under load of alumina light-weight insulation material can reach1600 ℃ when using sillimanite instead of kyanite for expansive agent;Adding 3 wt% of ZrO2 powder can improve the refractoriness under load of alumina lightweight insulation materials to 1650 ℃,but continuing increase of the amount of ZrO3 increase of refractoriness under load is not obvious.
