A detection method of fuel spray distribution characteristics
Automotive fuel injector is the key part of automobile engine,and its spray characteristics are an important indicator to measure its performance.Fuel spray distribution is one of the important parameters of spray characteristics.This paper studies an effective detection method of spray distributions,which measured height of fuel collected by distributor by image detection method based on optical density,and then converting to the distribution of fuel mass.This method replaced the original manual weighing methods for improved accuracy and speed,and it reduced the errors effectively.By analyzing the fuel spray distributions under different coordinate axis,we can get the parameters which described the geometric characteristic of spray,such as the center of mass of spray,the angular extent of the spray cone and the direction of the spray cone relative to the injector axis.The detection of spray characteristics is the guarantee of maximum the quality of fuel combustion.
