Detection of number of Source and DOA estimation in phase-mode space using uniform circular acoustic vector sensor array
A Method of source number detection and estimation direction of arrival (DOA) is applied to detect the passive target of under water in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) condition.Firstly,the combined covariance matrix of the pressure and particle velocity with uniform circular acoustic vector sensor array is constructed.Then,diagonal loading is used to make a robust estimation.Finally,the information criterion is used to detect number of sources and MUSIC (Multiple Signal Classification) is applied to achieve angle estimation.Computer simulations and the result of pool experiment show that the method could detect passive target in low signal-to-noise ratio circumstance.
