Displacement method for shallow water waves with moving boundaries
In this paper, a shallow water equation based on displacement (SWE-D) is derived for the shallow water system with moving boundaries by using the displacement method and the Hamilton variational principle in classical mechanics.Based on the Hamilton variational principle, a numerical scheme for solving numerically the SWE-D is developed.Two numerical tests are performed, which show that the proposed method can simulate the shallow water system with moving boundaries precisely and effectively.
