Head-on collision between two hydroelastic solitary waves in a two-layer fluid
Using the singular perturbation method, we studied analytically the head-on collision between two hydroelastic solitary waves in a two-layer fluid. The governing flow problem is modeled using the Euler-Bemoulli beam theory. The series solution of the resulting highly nonlinear coupled differential equations has been obtained with the help of the Poincare-Lighthill-Kuo (PLK) method. The series solutions have been presented up to third-order accuracy.Phase shift and Maximum run-up amplitude are also presented and sketched. The impact of different emerging parameters are discussed and demonstrated graphically.
