3-D numerical study of a spillway aerator with lateral deflector
A air entraining trough with lateral deflector was described in this paper, the RNG k-ε turbulent model together with the response surface method were applied to optimize the shape of this aerator.Under high speed action of water flow, the aeration tank aeration is proposed as an effective way to reduce cavitation erosion.To alleviating bottom and side-wall cavitation aeration,Slit aeration tank with side-wall slit aeration model is considered, and optimized by numerical experiments with respond surface theory.
