Approach of viscous/potential flow for simulation of flow around submerged body
The solution of flow field is decomposed into the contributions of potential flow and the remaining one.Based on potential flow solution, the remaining velocity is solved by a modified N-S equation, in which a much smaller calculation domain is considered due to its rapid decrease in the far field.The fiow around 2D cylinder and 3D SUBOFF is simulated.The influence of the range of calculation domain is investigated.Good result is achieved, which indicates that present method is robust and efficient.
