Numerical study of bragg reflection of irregular waves by FMBEM
In this paper, Fast Multipole Boundary Element Method (FMBEM) is developed to build a numerical wave tank (NWT) successfully, in which a fully nonlinear irregular wave train is simulated.The damping performance of damping zone has been validated, and the optimum zone length is chosen.The reflectivity of three bar types in irregular wave environment will be investigated, and the comparison of their reflection performance in regular and irregular wave is also given.In the end, the best bar type in irregular wave will be selected, which could be referenced by the designers.
