Numerical simulation of lateral floating characteristic of helicopter

  Aiming at the lateral floating characteristic of the helicopter with the air chambers open, a numerical simulation method based on FINE/Marine is presented.The article chose one wave height, varied wavelengths to calculate the roll angle of the still helicopter when encountering lateral regular wave.In order to verify the feasibility of the numerical method, tank tests were carried out on the helicopter with two rigid air chambers.Five cases were selected to carry out the test.The absolute value of the errors of the calculation results and the test results are 0.87% to 9.89%.Results show that the numerical simulation is high-precision and the method is feasible.
