Design and analysis of flow channel for underwater vehicle water-jet pump

  Aiming at the new field that design methods of flow channel for underwater vehicle water-jet pump, researches on design methods and modeling are carried out.Under the condition that the change law of meridian passage area of flow channel is given, according to the principle that the enveloping line of a inscribed circle is its exterior common tangent, then deduce the formula of shroud streamline.According to the design parameters, series of flow channel models are obtained by MATLAB program and analyzing the relationship between flow channel efficiency and the law of meridian passage area through CFD technology.The results reveal that the efficiency of the designed flow channel can reach 99.24% and the optimum law of meridian passage area of flow channel.This research lays a good foundation for the design of underwater vehicle water-jet pump.
