The effects of hydrodynamic interactions on wave drift force acting on multiple three-dimensions floating bodies
The hydrodynamic interactions among adjacent multiple floating bodies are expected to be complex. To investigate these hydrodynamic interaction problems, wave interaction theory was adopted to evaluate the wave drift force acting on floating bodies, and a boundary integral equation based on a higher-order boundary element method (HOBEM) was employed to obtain this numerical solution.Comparison was made between the numerical results obtained by two different methods and corresponding experimental data.It was shown that the results considering the hydrodynamic interactions showed more satisfactory agreement with the measured results.
