A design method for 3-D hydrofoil by the specified pressure distribution based on velocity potential flux of the surface
3-D hydrofoil performance optimization and numerical prediction method were attention by researchers,because of the successful realization of 3-D optimization design and the numerical prediction of hydrofoil, means that this method has the potential to further applied to other marine hydrodynamic problems.Although the combination of CFD method and multi-objective optimization methods but the huge computation and complex optimization process, still limits its application and popularization.Based on perturbation potential theory, this paper derived and modified the original BEM method as design a tool, sharply reduced the amount of calculation.Can and have the potential of further used in the design of hydrodynamic lifting surfaces such as propulsions, hydrofoils, as well as hulls.
