Pattern wave simulation of high speed ships by ISPH based on 2D+t theory
The proportion of the wave-making resistance is high for the high-speed craft.By studying the wave pattern generated by high-speed craft, we can analyze the wave-making resistance qualitatively by waveform analysis method which is significant for improving the ship resistance and performance and the optimization of high-speed craft. To solve this strongly non-linear wave problem;Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics is selected as the oldest meshfree method that escapes the limitation of grid generating and has great advantage in simulating this kind of non-liner problem. The method that the pressure can be obtained by calculating the Poisson equation which is called incompressible SPH (ISPH) method is adopted here. This paper introduces the formulations of incompressible SPH and some numerical technologies.Besides, some details of deformed solid boundary condition are introduced, which is the key problem for 2D+t simulation. Then it gets some numerical tests of ISPH.Finally this paper simulates the wave pattern generated by NPL model by combining the ISPH method and 2D+t theory and compares the results with the experimental results.
