The numerical and experimental research on the water load of amphibious aircraft hull

  The water entry problem of amphibious aircraft hull is analyzed by using LS-DYNA finite element software based on the ALE algorithm and model tests.A V-shaped cross-section and a curved cross-section were chosen as the model shapes.The characters of pressure and overload have been discussed.The results show that the numerical results agree well with the model tests.the lateral pressure of straight V-shaped model is nonlinear distribution varying from large to small and the curved model is large-small-large nonlinear distribution.The peak overload of curved model is larger than straight V-shaped model in the same state.It can provide the basis for the selection of aircraft hull shape.
