Determination of the effect of supercritical carbon dioxide jet on the rock strength

  In this paper, an experimental setup is designed to analyze the effect of supercritical carbon dioxide jet on the rock strength.Experimental results show that, the compression strength of rock reduces with the increase of jet duration, jet pressure and jet temperature.Therefore, supercritical carbon dioxide jet is an effective method to enhance rock-breaking efficiency.
