Factors Influencing the Scientific Collaboration Behavior: An Empirical Study in China
In order to increase scientific work performance, a growing amount of scientific researches have been done in a collaborative fashion.Based on TAM and TTF, this study proposed a research model to explore the factors which impact on.scientific collaboration behavior in China.A structured survey instrument was developed to collect data, and 307 valid replies were processed and analyzed. The results show that besides perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, both resource characteristics and collaboration environments have direct impacts on scientific collaboration behavior intention, which further influences actual scientific collaboration behavior.Task-technology fit, which is influenced by task characteristics and technology characteristics, has a significant positive effect on perceived usefulness of scientific collaboration behavior. Moreover, the characteristics of technology and resource are the main factors that have impacts on perceived ease of use of.scientific collaboration behavior. The results would help gaining a deeper understanding of the factors affecting scientific subjects collaboration behavior intention, and may help implementing the scientific collaboration behavior more effectively.
