Simulation of Congestion Pedestrian Evacuation Considering Panic Coefficient
The push-force of the pedestrian is simulated by cell automata. The initial push-force points to the nearest cell of the exits. The absorption coefficient α, push-force effect Σ| Fi | and resultant force ΣFi are introduced to describe the transmission of the push-force.A panic coefficient represented by P is introduced to describe the panic level of the pedestrian. The simulation shows that the push-force effect Σ| Fi | increases quickly at the beginning and the pedestrian near the exit are in a dangerous state.People have a natural instinct to protect themselves and others from harm. Then it leads the push-force effect Σ|Fi | decreases and finally tends to be stable.
