Microstructure and High Temperature Strength of Austenitic Stainless Steel 304L Made by Arc Based Additive Manufacturing
The effect of processing parameters on the mechanical properties and microstructure of AISI 304L stainless steel thick welded plates fabricated using the wire are based additive manufacturing was investigated.Two welded plates were fabricated with different heat inputs to study the effect of parameters on microstructure and mechanical properties of 304L made by arc based additive manufacturing.Uniaxial tension tests were performed at high temperature on samples extracted from the welded plates in three coordinate directions.The yield strength at 550℃ in Z-axis is lower than those in the other two directions.The Vickers hardness of the test piece in lower section is higher than that in upper section of the additive manufacturing object.The microstructure is Austenite throughout the samples.
