Preparation and characterization of Cotton fibers modified by ZnO nanorods
ZnO nanorods were fabricated on the surface of cotton fiber using zinc nitrate、 hexamethylenetetramine and polyethylene glycol 2000 though low-temperature hydrothermal process.The structure and morphology of as-prepared samples were characterized by XRD, SEM and UV-siv.The analysis results showed that the cotton fabric surface growth of ZnO nanorods is hexagonal wurtzite structure.The ZnO nanorods prependiculary grown on the cotton fibers were the wurtzite crystal phase.Under solar light for 8h ,the degradation of MB with ZnO nanorods coated cotton fabric was 87.6%.
