Knowledge System of the Course in Engineering Materials and Mechanical Manufacturing Basis Based on the Nearly Practical Curriculum Features

  Based on the teaching idea of the nearly practical course, with the aim of joint track with the certification standards of international engineering education and deeply essential amalgamation with professional personnel training in colleges and departments, and through full investigation, 6 domestic universities jointly constructed a knowledge system of the course in Engineering Materials and Mechanical Manufacturing Basis in the paper according to the logical relationship of product manufacturing process, which includes 313 knowledge points and 91 ability points in Engineering materials, Material modifications, Material formings, Metalworking techniques and Manufacturing practices.The construction of the system can provide an important foundation for the further revision of the basic curriculum requirements (or establishment of curriculum standards), textbook compiling, and collaborative innovation with engineering training course, and it can also provide an alternative knowledge base for the course study from different majors.
