Teaching Practice and Innovation Exploration of Bicycle Disassembly and Assembly Experiment

  Bicycles are known as the most convenient and the most environmentally friendly mode of transport.The designs of bicycles are elaborate and require a lot of mechanical knowledge, which makes bicycles be a perfect teaching material for mechanism.So guiding the students to disassemble and assemble a bicycle can help them master the internal structure of mechanical parts, perceive the mutual supportive relationship between the parts, and gain a better understanding of professional knowledge related to machine design and mechanical manufacture, etc.Meanwhile, the experimental course of bicycle structures can provide the students a place to enhance their operating abilities as well as innovative cultivation.Through the practice of technological innovation of bicycle structures, the teachers are expected to instruct the students to reflect on the traditional conceptions of theories and inspire their confidence to challenge the traditions.Based on the knowledge of engineering cognition, skills training and comprehensive innovation, this article presents the teaching content and arrangement of the experimental course for the technological innovation of bicycle structures.The author expects that the design of the course can strengthen the students abilities on practicing, knowledge application, innovative thinking and cooperative working, and so on, during the process of operation.
