Reformation and Practice of Three-dimensional Printing During Engineering Training with the Idea of CDIO
In the new situation, It has become the focus for colleges and universities at home and abroad to develop students engineering quality, innovative spirit and innovative ability for the advanced engineering.In fact it is the mission of engineering training centers of universities, too.To conform to this tendency, the advanced manufacturing technology named 3D printing equipment, which is called third industrial revolution, has been introduced to our engineering training center.CDIO is the abbreviation of the four words, Conceived, Design, Implementation, and Operate.It is an education and learning program based on a project which includes products, production processes and systems.The students must finish all the work from research to run.It is a study project connected active practice with course learning project.It is conducive to the transformation from knowledge accumulation to the students comprehensive capability.3D printing equipment plays an important role in cultivating students innovative and engineering quality during engineering training.Combining with the CDIO engineering education concept, the training modes and methods become diversified and systematized.The SPC technology, product design and production process in real time monitoring and quality test are discussed, too.Finally, the overall quality and level of engineering training in our center are improved.
