Strengthening the Construction of Teaching Staff to Promote the Engineering Training Center Transformation from Teaching Model to Teaching & Researching Model
The basic function of Engineering Training Center (ETC) in colleges is practice teaching.Practical skills training of students is demanded during their teaching.Strengthening the construction of teaching staff is the fundamental guarantee of the task.At this stage many ETC are facing problems that teacher structure is unbalanced and their overall qualities are low.However, with the development of ETC, the structure of the teaching staff has changed.The academic levels of the teachers continuously improve.New generations of young teachers who hold masters degrees or the PhD degrees have become the backbone and have gradually taken the place of the original teaching staff who just hold associate or bachelors degrees.These young teachers have pretty good scientific research abilities.The new problems facing ETC are how to take advantage of ETC, how to attract more high educated talents, bring in talents, retain talents and make good use of talents.To strengthen the teaching stuff construction and promote teaching-oriented to teaching-research-oriented of ETC, this paper made a preliminary study in the fields of the system construction, scientific research platform construction and reward mechanism construction.A new reformation method was put forward for ETC.
