The Exploration of the Research Universities Courses to Engineering Practice and the Standards for Quality Evaluation
Chinese higher education will join the Washington Accord, which will gradually expand the certification scope of engineering majors adopting international standards.Taking this opportunity, it is imminent to open national curriculums and build standardized quality evaluation systems.Compound and creative talents should have a strong ability of practice and innovation.For this reason, it is proposed that a research university should provide the students with opportunities of experiencing engineering culture, understanding manufacturing process and learning engineering practice.We discuss the feasibility of the engineering cognitive training, engineering skills training, engineering comprehensive training and engineering innovation training.We also build an education of quality assurance and evaluation system for engineering training courses.It mainly includes projects on teaching documents, teaching management, teaching efficiency, faculty, institution building, equipment, environment and etc.
