The Necessity of Enhancing the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Training and Its Practice
CNC machining equipment, 3D printing (adding manufacturing) equipment and precision measurement equipment, reverse and CAD modeling have proceeded more than half of total on aspects of number, occupied area and investment in the hardware construction of Engineering Training Center.The situation is in accordance with conditions in industry in which the advanced manufacturing technologies have been developed vastly in the past and had more and more applications.These advanced equipment, which indicate that advanced manufacturing technology has rapidly developed and widely employed in industry area, become the most important basic condition of teaching reform.All this indicated that it is the proper time to reform the contents and arrangements in metalworking practice with the help of the adequate teaching resource available.Therefore, the existing practical curriculum in engineering training has to be modified and optimized.On the one hand, the new training method for advanced manufacturing technology including additive CNC machining equipment, manufacturing and precision measurement should be well established, and the most effective path is to set up or maintain cooperation relation with enterprise in order to obtain the technologies and workpiece used in products from enterprise to create a real industry conditions;on the other hand, the teaching time and educational opportunities should be increased significantly.Traditional training needs to be modified and new curriculum for advanced manufacturing technology should be developed.
