An Empirical Study of the Relationship between Logistics Industry Development and Regional Economic Growth of Dalian City
The logistics industry is an important component of regional economic system, connecting different sectors and facilitating regional economic exchanges.Based on mechanism analysis, this paper selects the output values and GDP of Dalian between 2001 and 2013 to examine the relationship between the Citys logistics industry development and regional economic growth.The conclusion indicates a highly positive correlation between Dalians economic growth and its development of logistics industry.The result of Granger causality test shows that the output value of Dalians logistics industry serves as the Granger cause for the citys economic growth, as the output value drives up the economic growth and that Dalians GDP is not the Granger cause for the citys development of the logistics industry.
