The past decades witnessed the Buddhist-Muslim conflicts in Myanmar’s Rakhine State, which leaves the security environment of this country more complicated. This article explores the vicious circle caused by the Buddhist- Muslim conflicts in 2012. As the findings of this article shows, in the vicious circle, the nationalistic Buddhists’ violence did give the international Muslim extremist networks a handle against Myanmar. Moreover, the international Islam extremists’ responses would be used as an justification for the nationalistic Buddhists’ confrontation with Rakhine-Muslims.
