ANALYSIS ON PERFORMANCE OF AN INFRASOUND PIEZOELECTRIC HYDROPHONE

Two theoretical models of infrasound piezoelectric hydrophone (IPH) are proposed to meet the requirements of high sensitivity and low frequency hydrophone.The IPH has a laminated structure by using piezoelectric plates with polarization along thickness.Two connection forms of piezoelectric plates,in series and in parallel,are taken into consideration.The effect of structural parameters on the detection performance is investigated to improve sensitivity of the IPH to detect infrasound signal.The structural parameters are optimized to obtain high sensitivity and wide bandwidth with the minimum cost.The theoretical results are in good agreement with the ANSYS simulation.The results are helpful to analyze and design IPH.
