ANALYSIS OF HIGH-FREQUENCY POWER FLOW IN PLANAR FRAMED STRUCTURES

Using the high-order Love rod theory and Timoshenko beam theory to model the axial and bending waves in structural members, this paper extends the method of reverberation-ray matrix (MRRM) for the analysis of high-frequency power flow in planar framed structures. The analytical formulation without involving exponentially growing functions is derived, from which the power flow at any cross-section or joint can be calculated numerically. The derivation of the formulation indicates that the MRRM is an analytical method has advantage of uniformity. It is applicable to high-frequency analysis because high-order rod, beam theories are used, and the exponentially growing functions are avoided from the formulation.
