Development and Application of Casting Defects Management and Statistics System
In order to assist the foundry workers tomanage casting defects information and knowledge more efficiently,analyze,prevent and dispose casting defectsreasonably,find out the causes of casting defects timely,theCasting Defects Management and Statistics System (CDMS) has been developedby using C#.NET,VS2013 and SQL Server 2012 as the database management system,through which the defect standards,quality cases and data can be managed synthetically and normally,andmulti-dimensional casting defects statisticscan be done conveniently.The casting defects are divided into nine categories and coded that has been introduced into the database constructionof the system.The system has been well applied in severalfoundries in china.The practical application shows that the system isverysuitable forthe foundry workers’ usage habits,has been promoting the foundry workers to share theexperience and knowledgeof the casting defects,and make the foundries gethigh quality castings,meanwhile reduce the reject rate.
