Research of the transformer energization control strategy applied for storage-based wind farm self-start

  The self-start ability is the precondition for storage-based wind farm to be the black-start power source in local power grid.To avoid the strike to battery energy storage system which caused by energization of transformers,the no-load transformer energization control strategy during self-start process of storage-based wind farm is researched in this paper.The optimal starting control strategy for BESS is proposed by analyzing generation mechanism of magnetizing inrush current.Then equivalent model is established according to actual wind farm,simulation of proposed three different energization strategies has been made.Finally by comparison of simulation results,the energization control strategy applied for storage-based wind farm self-start is proposed.
