Impact Localization Based on FBG Sensing System with Broadband Light Source
Impact events can severely degrade the security and service life of the investigated structure,therefore,impact localization acts an important role in SHM.In this paper,a novel FBG impact localization system based on broadband light source is provided,aiming at the shortcoming of existing location system based on FBG sensors.On the basis of FBG impact location system properties,an improved impact location method based on TDOA is represented.Finally,the capability of the sensor system proposed in this paper is validated through impact planar location experiments on an aluminum alloy plate.It is also shown experimentally that the planar location errors are less than 0.06m.
