On Innovation of Public Governance in Ethnic Regions in China Based on the System of Justice of the Peace
Because of the complex historical circumstance, diverse governance issues, and obvious regional difference, community-level public governance in ethnic regions has always been the top priority of primary level public governance in China. It is explored through the case study of the representative lineage system of Yi nationality by following the principle of inheriting useful heritage and adopting beneficial foreign methods. On the basis of analyzing the feasibility of applying the western system of Justice of the Peace in the special ethnic regions in China, the theoretical and practical value of the system is elaborated.Through the utilization of the essence and elimination of the drawbacks, this system can help resolve the bottleneck of governance in ethnic regions.Specifically, channels for public participation in public governance can be smooth, and unity and harmony among different nationalities and ethnic regions can be enhanced, forming network-based public governance model and guaranteeing the participation of all people in primary level governance.
