Analysis on the Attention Degree of Mass Emergency Online Public Opinion Based on Baidu Index
The emergence of mass emergency online public opinion means that a lot of Internet users are concerned about a certain mass emergency.Traditionally, we only know that a mass emergency has attracted a large amount of attention, however, it is not only difficult to quantify the trend of changing attention degree about the emergency but also difficult to specifically understand the constitution of the subject who give attention.As an online analysis tool of big data introduced in recent years, Baidu index has already been in increasingly widespread use, which is of significance to deepening the research of attention degree of mass emergency online public opinion and accurately grasping as well as effectively responding to mass emergency online public opinion.This paper explores why Baidu index could be applied to the research of attention degree of mass emergency online public opinion,analyzes the shortcomings of Baidu index that might exist in the application and proposes some suggestions to strengthen the research of attention degree of mass emergency online public opinion in the era of large data.
