A Multifactor-Model Study of the Identity of the New Generation Migrant Workers-With Migrant Works in Nanjing as an Example

  Identity is a crucial issue to the study of the new-generation migrant workers (abbreviated as NGMW hereinafter) because, far beyond being a matter of who we am to the NGMW, it directly relates to not only the emotional state and formation of ideas of the NGMW in their urban life, but also the urban stability and development in a sense.On the basis of data collected in questionnaires, this paper constructs a multifactor model of the Identify of the NGMW.Then, through interaction analysis and multiple regression analysis, this study analyzes the effects of relevant variables concerning the identity of the NGMW, including demographical features, family conditions, psychological conditions,working conditions, social relationships, community environment, etc.In conclusion, it proposes some feasible measures to improve the situation.
